If all your forward planning fails and you have a faulty projector that cannot be fixed, then you will have to present from the lectern. Remember to make a joke of it to the audience and refuse to let it throw you off balance. Life is like that - just when you thought you had it all together, the light goes out! Obviously you will have to think on your feet, as you will not have any visual aids to progress the speech. Being prepared is the best insurance, so as you prepare your presentation get a mental picture of how to describe the graphic or visual.
