But if you want to enrich your voice you can, although it does take consistent practice. A proper breathing technique can improve your lung capacity by up to 60 per cent, which in turn will improve your voice production and voice projection. Good breathing requires you to breathe from the diaphragm, rather than the chest. When we are born we breathe naturally from the diaphragm, which is why a baby's cry is so loud.
